Police are searching for a missing Ohio teen, whose father is worried she is danger after reportedly meeting someone on an app.
Madison Fields, 16, has been missing from her family’s temporary home in Colerain, Ohio, since Feb. 13, according to WXIX.
The girl’s father, Tyler Hirn, told WXIX that Madison was last seen after 4 p.m. on Feb. 13, leaving the InTown Suites, and that surveillance footage showed her walking on nearby streets.
“I’m dad,” Hirn told the outlet. “I know the kid. As I said, she texts me every day. She’s a very good kid. Something is wrong. I was under the impression she was at her friend Lily’s house, but she didn’t go that way. So, that’s when we first found out something was wrong and then we got ahold of the police.”
The outlet reported that Madison’s phone is dead and that her father is no longer able to track it.
According to WLWT, Madison told her sister that she’d been messaging someone on an app who claimed to be 16.
Per WXIX, Hirn said Madison had been using an app called Session and had left to meet someone named Josh, who is not known to her family or any of her classmates.
“I don’t want to find my daughter dead,” Hirn told WLWT. “I want to find her alive.”
